Geocache Description:

Ceann Heilbhic:

An easy cache for all the family. Bring your swimming gear because if you follow the path another 100m, there is a lovely secluded cove, ideal for a swim.

As Found in the Cache

Helvik Head (Ceann Heilbhic, as Gaeilge) is a working fishing port, complete with boats and smells! (Boladh iasc, munna bhfuil gaeilge againn!). This is in the Irish speaking area of Ring ("An Rinn", as gaeilge). The best feature is the truly spectacular views over Dungarvan Bay as you drive to the cache from the Dungarvan side (ie, with the sea to your left. The cove is a bonus for those hardy souls who want to do more than just smash-and-grab an easy cache.

Ceann Heilbhic

Post a pic if you opt for the full "wet n wild" experience! If you liked this one, drive a few miles along the coast and try the even better "Declan's Walk" at Ardmore. If you like Helvick, you'll love Ardmore.
