A straight forward cache set in Connaught Park Dover. Suggested parking in a layby at N51 07.952 E001 18.798
I have been meaning to set a 'kids' cache for a while, and as my Grandson 'MiniMoo' often accompanies us on our cache hunts and really enjoys his 'treasure' finds, I thought it was about time I set one up.
The park was the first park established in Dover and dates back to Victorian times. Set on the hillside, below Dover Castle, it provides facilities for both recreational and sporting activities.
The open grass slopes provide a pleasant environment for a stroll, and offer excellent views across the town.
The lower part of the park is set out in a more traditional style with an ornamental lake,not many ducks, but lots of fish to feed, and lawns leading to an aviary, albeit sadly depleted these days, and a play area for children.
The cache is a regular 2.6L locktop box. It contains approximately 19 NEW items for kids. All I ask is that if you wish to trade 'treasure', you do so fairly and with a NEW item/toy for kids.
The co-ords will take you almost to the cache, but due to tree cover, you will need to take the hint with you.
