North Underhill Cemetary Cache Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

DeweyDoubleD: This one has run into trouble due to a lot of recent "cleaning up" activity at this cemetary. There will be a new Eagle project done here in the coming weeks so maybe I will get one honoring that here.

Geocache Description:

This is nice little puzzle/multi cache in a local cemetary near my house. Terrain is primarily mowed grass with some short ventures into the trees.

I just wanted to add a note that much like all my newest caches and mine in the future. You do not need to move anything in order to find my cache and all its stages!! They are all there for the eye to see, nothing needs to be moved, turned over, or disturbed!!!!! Thanks Deweydoubled

The listed coordinates for this cache will take you to the entrance of a small cemetary located in Underhill on Poker Hill Road. I really enjoy just wandering around this cemetary looking at the different headstones. You will find revolutionary war veterans buried alongside civil war veterans. You will also find a friend of mine buried in here. Its just a very cool mixture of history here. You will need to find a few of the interesting facts here but there are others so spend a few moments checking out the people and stones here. Can you find Udney Hay, the QM General for the Old Congress Regiment?

There is no need to cross any fences, barbed wire or stone. The entire cache is within the public property of the cemetary.

To find the cache you will need to figure out the answers to the following:

N 44 33.ABC
W072 55.DEF

A = You must find the Robinson children's stones. Take the number of children that share a common rock base and add Mom to get a number. Be careful here!! Substitute for A

B = Find the stone that is the tallest, face the side that is farthest from the road. How many letters in the daughter's first name?

C = Do you see the Roger's Diamond? Using Erastus's Date of Birth find C, Nov 1C, 1866

D = Fine the Jackson's stone with 3 sons who died in the Civil War. The first name of the first son listed has how many letters.

E = Facing the gate from the road, Count the number of hitching posts to the left and add one.

F = Find the second newest stone in the cemetary, (hint, hint: its the only one, I think, of this color) on it you will see a nature scene. How many visible points does the male of the species carry on his head? This is my friend Bob I mentioned early. If you need another hint for this [you most likely drove by the business that his brother and nephews own at the corner of Browns Trace and Route 15.]

I will be trying to add more facts that will lead you to solve this one as time permits.

This is a small cache with some room for trading items. FTF will get a very neat FTF prize that I have been holding onto for way too long. Chrisnic, I got it out there finally!!

Have fun and be respectful as always.
