The Trail to Red Gate 2 difficulty is bumped half a point because of the summer foliage. This is an easy walk along the paved hiking trail and hardly any bushwhacking is required. It was a cloudy day when we plotted this one so you may have to trust your caching instinct instead of your GPS. FTF prize is a gold dollar.
This cache is located several hundred feet north of the swimming hole the West Side Guys frequented back in the days. So when you find the cache keep walking south and you'll run into Rocky Ford, or as the West Side Guys called it, Bare Butt Beach.
The container is a camo covered jar and holds a few small items.
