Geocache Description:

A relatively easy stroll from either the A6046, or (nicer but further) from Hopwood Nature Reserve. After rain the field path may be quite wet but generally the tracks are well surfaced.

The cache is a micro placed close to the site of a colliery which was active in the mid 1800's. The path forms part of the Rochdale Way, a 45 mile romp around the Borough that gave the world the Co-operative Movement.
