Geocache Description:

These coordinates are for the starting point for this cache.

TIC TAC TOE Night Cache

This is a night cache and must be found after dark with a good flashlight. Bring extra batteries or a spare flashlight just in case.

*** Be sure to take a way point reading where you park your vehicle in case you get disoriented in the dark.

Reflectors are located 2-4 meters above the ground and are on or beside a well defined trail. At times you may have to follow the trail a bit to see the next reflector.

Starting at the given coordinate, follow the white reflectors until you see a red reflector. Standing under the red reflector, look around until you see reflective dots. Remember the number of dots. Facing the dots, take the trail at the 6 o’clock position (TIC). From this position you should see a white reflector along the trail.

Follow white reflectors until you see a red reflector. Standing under the red reflector, look for the “TAC” on the tree. Remember this number. Return to the trail and continue to follow the white reflectors. When you get the spot with two white reflectors stop, and look around for a red reflector. Standing under the red reflector, look for the number at your “TOE”. Remember this number. Standing under the red reflector, scan along the ground to spot the red eyes that guard the cache.

Please ensure when replacing the cache that the red eyes are visible from the “TOE” position.

Continue to follow the trail back to the parking lot.

******NOTE: the park gates located at N53°13.380 W105°44.015 are locked at 11pm. All vehicles need to be outside the gate at this time*****************
