Burgi Dad
and I
first met
Lost It 2
"In The Wild" on the last day of
2006, as we set off on our annual trek to walk out of the Old
Year and hike into the New Year at
Where The Green Fern Grows (GCD459), the cache voted #1 in the
West Central Region by the Florida Geocaching
Association. Lost It 2
was the only other person on the
trails that morning. No doubt we
probably (definitely!) scared away
all the wildlife in the area with our chatting and laughing
while comparing GXing adventure stories!
Within a couple of months, Lost It 2
and I
started GXing together as the
Exciting GXing Girls & Guys
Night Out, scheduled regularly on a couple of
Wednesday evenings each month. You may have read our "bottom
line" in the logs by now: The two of us
, plus other friends, enjoy
ourselves for a couple of hours after work -
- don't ever try to distract us, or
we'll growl the expected "Leggo my EGGGNO!"

Now, about this cache: Once you get to the coords,
you'll understand the difficulty rating. The GeoMuggles in the
outdoor "mezzanine" area may wonder what you're doing. If you're
REAL GXers, your best bet would be to CITO as you look in the area
(though it's usually pretty clean, so look QUICKLY). Nothing else
will deflect a curious GeoMuggle's attention any quicker than
CITOing. That's how we got them to ignore us at the placement!
By now, carrying a CITO bag should
be like carrying your own writing implement.
You'll be looking for a well-chamouflaged match
case. Wheelchair users may need a little assistance with the last
yard. Hey, are you carrying that writing implement we
mentioned earlier
Special thanks to Lost It 2
, who beta tested this cache for us with
no idea of the size or difficulty -
- you deserve MEFTF
honors!
This cache was placed with the express permission of
Dan_The_Man_ager.
If you go inside, he'll be pleased to know you're there because of
GXing.
Please treat everyone as you would want
to be treated if you were in their shoes...
four inch stilettos not withstanding!
~~ Have a blessed day. Happy caching. ~~
