Om Gladsaxe Kommune
Gladsaxe Kommune ligger i Region Hovedstad og afgrænses af København, Gentofte, Lyngby og Herlev kommuner. Gladsaxe Kommunes historie kan spores helt tilbage til middelalderen i de skriftlige kilder. Gladsaxe Kommune bestod oprindelig af 4 landsbyer - Bagsværd, Gladsaxe, Buddinge og Mørkhøj. Allerede i 1909 fik kommunen den udstrækning og afgrænsning vi kender idag, hvor Herlev og Gladsaxe blev opdelt.

Min egen relation til kommunen er at jeg har boet i Gladsaxe siden 1956, kun afbrudt af en kort periode på Nørrrebro. Jeg er vokset op i Mørkhøj, gået i skole på Enghavegård skole og Søborg Gymnasium. Senere er jeg flyttet til Søborg hvor jeg bor idag. Undervejs er Gladsaxe stadion med AB's kampe blevet besøgt flittigt.
Gladsaxe Kommune's sammensætning blev ikke ændret i forbindelse med strukturreformen. Gladsaxe Kommune er den 23. største af Danmarks 98 kommuner
