Geocache Description:

Middleton Fell provides great walking territory and Barkin Top is one of the high points on the ridge.

The walking is great and on a clear day the views are excellent. When the cache went out we could see the mountains of Snowdonia away down to the SW, Blackpool Tower, the wind farm off Barrow, the full panorama of the Lakes hills, the M6 heading into Tebay Gorge and the hills around Penrith, the slumbering herd of the Howgills, and the long rounded tops of the nearby Yorkshire hills.

Link this cache with the others on the fell for a full day of wonderful walking.  The Calf
