[Update Nov 4, 2007 -- cache has been moved to a more secure
location but in the same general vicinity.] Cedar Glades County
Park is a newly developed recreation area near Hot Springs. The
park has a pavilion, stage, playground, mountain bike and hiking
trails, R/C airplane flying grounds, and near the cache -- a
disc golf
course.
The cache is located near the pavilion and large tree house in
the woods, which is also a good picnic spot if you are coming to
the park to find this and the other nearby caches. You may find
several friendly disc golfers lingering around before or after a
round (possibly even me!) so say hello -- many of us are
geocachers, too!
Make sure to check out the other nearby caches in the park. They
are a good hike from this one, but you can also get much closer to
them parking at the other side of the park near the playground.
There is a special FTF wooden coin prize in the cache. It's not
far from the trail and if you listen -- you just might hear the
clink of the chains as someone makes their last shot at the 18th
hole up the hill!
