Geocache Description:

Cache is on private property with permission. Park on shoulder with caution or across the street at the Legion & cross carefully. Lock code for the "hotel" is 842.

Located just inside of historic Pendleton, Indiana

In fact, you may have collected the many caches in Falls Creek Park. This one is located a bit downstream on Bob's private property. You have his permission to log this cache during daylight hours.

Bob's lived there over 40 years. Sure, he's in a flood plain surrounded by Fall Creek, but the creek was expected to only experience a major flood every 100 years. Yet, in the last 25 years, water has flooded into his house twice. Bob thinks its due to increased housing being built upstream.

So, take a look at this rural oasis just off the road. It will be a quick grab and go. Take a quick walk to the creek too if you want.

And, don't attempt this cache when the environment looks like this. It's just another rare flood!

  • Cache is a typical plastic watertight container, there's enough room for trade items.
  • Park along the side of the road, or in American Legion parking lot across State Street.
  • Cache is not deep into the trees and not in the pile of branches.
  • Say hi to Bob if you see him.
