The cache is a camo-wrapped lock-lock container placed a short distance off the blue trail in Wawanosh Conservation Area. The eastern section of this trail is well-developed and almost haunting with the regularly spaced pines lining the trail; but the portion of the trail that the cache is hidden near is often damp and not well-developed; along the western portion, it feels more like bushwacking than trail-walking. Be prepared for muddy areas.
There is a blue stake about 20' off the orange trail marking the western end of the blue trail, but until some geocachers make some geotrails there, the trail is pretty hard to find at that end. The rest of the way, there are blue blazes on trees to mark the way.
Park at N43 - 49.525; W081 - 27.430 (the parking area for the nature centre).
While you are in the conservation area, be sure to take a portion of the orange trail along the river -- it's gorgeous. The entire outer loop of the trails is a bit over 3 kms. Most of the wetter areas have boardwalks on the orange trail, but not on the blue trail. As I said, the orange trail along the river is very pleasant, so don't miss it.
Both the hiking guide and the signs at the trail head warn of poison ivy along the creek and river; long pants and socks might be a good idea. But wait until you see the area -- you'll love it. Ms. Eclectic and I were delighted with the views and the atmosphere as we strolled along the trails here.
The area where this cache is hidden might be a bit too long a hike and too overgrown for small children.
