Geocache Description:

No, it's not a Blackhawk helicopter. It's actually a Huey UH-1H, which is located at a city park in the middle of downtown. This helicopter became famous during the Vietnam war, or was it a "police action"?

With the presence of this piece of U.S. military history, I felt compelled to place a cache at this park in honor to all who gave some and to the some who gave all. The men and women of the United States Military.

This cache has somewhat of a military theme. There are several items from different military branches as well as a lot of geoswag. FTF gets an FTF pin and a small bison tube. Some of the original contents are:
Marines Lanyard
Ga. National Guard Lanyard
Air Force Pin
Ga. National Guard Carabiner
Camo Rope
Light Sticks
Camo Flashlight Sheath
Geowhistle
Geo Bumper Stickers
And the list goes on

Come pay homage to the men and women, past and present, of our Armed Services. They truly know that freedom is not free.

Park hours are 7:00am to sunset. (visit link)

CONGRATS TO QANINE FOR FTF!
