This cache is based on one I did and really enjoyed (SQ-Dog Gone Cache). We have many friends, relatives, and acquaintances here, including a classmate of my son who was a budding construction worker and has a hammer etched on the back of his tombstone. This multi-task cache involves puzzle solving, math (ughh), and walking!
Step #1: The coordinates above will take you to a spot that’s a good place to leave your car, and do the rest on foot. Here, find a stone tower surrounded by a green moat, and count the number of pointed rocks on the tower. Walk that many rows to the east.
Step #2: Look north for a headstone with a woman whose full name goes from A – Z. Write down the number of letters in her last name ____.
Step #3: Head south to find two headstones with the name of a famous food chain (without the “s”). Write down the digit that appears four times on one of these headstones _____
Step #4: Go west and find a place to sit a spell. Write down the number of “resting places” _____. (NOTE: we’re not sure if the “resting places” are removed in the winter. If they are, look for a multi-divided slab. Take the number of slab pieces and subtract 2 for your number ____). You now have the three numbers needed for your N coordinate in step 8.
Step #5: Choose the northeast “resting place” (or slab piece) and while sitting (or looking south west), look for a wagon (er…) with two “bushy” wheels. At the “wagon”, figure out Flossie’s age, and add those two digits together ____
Step # 6: Go south to find an Angel looking over money. Write down the number of headstones you can see from your vantage point (look all around!) with this “rich” name on it. ____
Step #7: Go seven rows (start counting from the pavement) to the west, then go south until you can “virtually” hit the nail on the head. Write down the # of siblings listed ____ (you now have the three digits needed for the W coordinate in the next step).
Step #8: Subtract the first three digits (from steps 2, 3, 4) from N41 27.(629) and subtract 317 from the last three digits (steps 5, 6, 7) to get the xxx’s for W083 28.(xxx). These are the co-ordinates to find the cache.
**This appears to be more difficult than first planned. Difficulty level has been increased and the answers to each step, along with final coordinates, have been added in the hints area.
