Geocache Description:

This involves the first waypoint being the 'intro to a new hexy style of waypoint marker' This doesnt have any spectacular view however. But the next 2 waypoints and then the final cache are amazing views that many of us forget are so close. These are all drive by caches so suitable for most. Usual warnings of kids and roads and care apply!

Accuracy at all waypoints was between 5 and 7 meters averaged 5 times.

Ok so waypoint one introduces you to the latest Hexy waypoint marker and it sits at the base! Once you discover what the marker is then you know what to look for at the other cache sites.

There is quite a lot of rubbish near the site of the first waypoint marker, and alas we had run out of bags today, but intend to pick some of it up next time we are near.

WP2 gives a spectacular view over Blueskin and the reserve. The new type of Hexy marker sits here.
WP3 gives an amazing view of Port Chalmers and we watched a container ship leaving the port from here. Again a new hexy marker sits here.
WP4 again offers a different view of Blueskin and across the road also the harbour view is great. This is a 500ml snaplock camo painted with lots of swaps.

This is the next letter in the Hexy Alphabet Trail. This has been set up for any one to participate in but is especially created with the Dunedin Cachers in mind for some caching fun over winter, as from start to finish it will take several months to complete. Visitors and non collectors are welcome to visit and log and swap at any of these caches but i would respectfully ask that if you are not completing the whole alphabet that you do not take a letter as they are in short supply!
