Geocache Description:

Muggled count: 4! Please be stealthy so the cache will remain in this location. You are now looking for a camoed pill bottle.

This memorial bears the names of over 250 St. Joe area loggers that have lost their lives in the logging industry. it reminds us of those that have gone before us doing what they loved to do. They spent their lives working in and around the logging life that has supported so many families in Idaho.
Planning for the memorial began in 1999; actual construction of the site was completed in 2005. The project was funded entirely by donations of materials, money and labor. Recent improvements are interpretive panels, a flagpole and benches. The garden is maintained by volunteers from the Benewah County Master Gardeners.

Even if you don't spot the lumber and plywood mills on the banks of the St. Joe River in St. Maries, Idaho, there are unmistakable clues that this is a logging town. Most of the families and stores in the area are supported by the logging industry. We love our trees!
St. Maries started from a single 19th- century sawmill at the junction of the St. Maries and St. Joe Rivers. Timber and good river transportation for getting the timber to market were the reasons for choosing the location, and timber has remained central to the town's reason for being. Across Idaho, the timber industry generates approximately $1.4 billion in revenues each year and provides more than 14,500 jobs.

THE CACHE IS NOT IN THE GARDEN, ON THE LOGS, OR STONES. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, DO NOT MOVE LANDSCAPING, OR FLOWERS TO FIND THE CACHE!!! Cache is out of the professionally maintained area.
