Geocache Description:

Another cache in a series that stretches from the start of the Swan River at Swan Lake to it's termination when it flows into the Mississippi River near Jacobson.

After winding many miles through the woods after leaving Swan Lake, the Swan River finally emptys into the Mississippi River just north of Jacobson. This area was apparently very important to early settlers and traders. History records that about 1850, fur traders maintained a post on the Swan River. The road built into the area about that time no doubt helped with the trade between early white and native Americans.

Take the Rabey Line trail from the rest stop on the Mississippi near Jacobson. You will need to bushwack the last few hundred feet to the cache. Enjoy the view of the mouth of the Swan River from the bank of the Mississippi near the cache.

The cache contains the usual stuff including a FTF reward.
