Geocache Description:

Hidden at the Bald Hills Schoolhouse on Horseblock Rd. in Farmingville. The schoolhouse was built in the early 1800's and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Kids all across Long Island are preparing to go back to school this week, so I thought it would be neat to take a look back and see what school was like for the children of the area during the 19th century.

The best place to park is in the Farmingville Hills County Park parking lot just west of the schoolhouse at N40 50.112 W73 02.604. There's a trail from the open field that leads right to the back of the schoolhouse.

Enjoy!
