If you plan to visit the beautiful Monastery Rimet in the
mountains (there´s also a cache hidden there:
Monastery Rimet (GCGA61)) you are driving through the litte
village Geoagiu de Sus.
There you will find a very characteristic rock high above the
valley called "Bulsu".
As I liked the place very much, I have hidden a little cache there
near the summit of "Bulsu". From this rock you'll have a very nice
view over the valley and the village Geoagiu de Sus.
Parking and your way to the cache:
You can park your car anywhere on the street. At N 46° 15.386 E 23°
35.196 you'll find a little bridge. On the left hand side you can
see a tree as a wodden bridge over the river "Valea Geoagiului". On
the right hand side you find a little creek bed which is right next
to a wayside cross (2m high) under a tree (Waypoint1 see picture
WP1). Follow the little creek (which ist most of the time dry) in
between some houses for about 150 meters untill you passed the last
house on the left side and reach the coordinates N 46° 15.464 E 23°
35.247 (Waypoint2 see picture WP2). Cross the creek bed and start
your hike up the hill. There's no certain trail; just find your
own. You already have your goal in front of you.
Summary:
The way to the cache is a little hike uphills. It takes only about
30 min (20 min if you're as fast as me...) with a distance of 500 m
and an altitude difference of 150m.
If you plan to go there at a hot summer day take some
water/beaverages with you.
Cache Container:
The cache container itself is a 1 liter black plastic bucket.
- Logbook
- Pen
- golfballs
- marbells
- keyrings
- lanyard keychain
- reflector
- some other small stuff
Enjoy your hike, your view over the valley and the search for
the cache!
PS: As this is a holiday cache I only will be able to
check this cache once a year!
So, if you have got any problems finding the cache, or if the cache
is damaged, please contact me!
PPS: It would be great if every finder could bring some
zip-locks or plastic bags to the cache and in case do some
repair.
Unfortunatelly there aren't that many caches in Romania yet, so
here is one more now!
Small note on cache maintenance: Valdegru has
graciously offered to assist. Thanks!
