Lizzard, Toad and Snake Cache Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Wizard of Ooze: As the cache owner has not indicated that they have visited the cache location to replace it if missing, perform needed maintenance, or verify that it is still there within the requested time period, I am regretfully archiving the cache to clear it from the active cache database and open the area to new caching opportunities.

If the cache owner would like to replace a cache at this location, please submit a new geocache listing and it will be reviewed under the current geocaching.com guidelines. Please don’t post a note on your archived listing as it won’t be forwarded to me and I won’t see it. If you need to contact me, please do so by emailing me through the contact link on my geocaching.com profile page or through my website www.wizardofooze.com

Thank you for your contributions to geocaching, and we hope to see you actively geocaching once again in the near future.

Geocache Description:

This is not a hard puzzle cache I made it with kids in mind and I don't think it should take too long. The cache has a letterbox stamp and felt in it so you can bring your stamp and log book if you like to trade images. It is in the river valley trail system and I have attached parking co-ordinates. The switch back road going down into the valley can be washed out with flooding so I have increased the terrain but the trail is actually only about a 1-1/2.

You will want to print out or have the cache page information to find this one. This is a plastic container with a stamp and felt marker for inking the stamp in it. The cache is not at the above co-ordinates. It is like a traditional Letterbox style where you follow clues to find it but it starts with a puzzle. The co-ordintes will take you to a sign that says Williams Lake River Valley Recreation Corridor. You will need to answer two questions using the info on the sign and fill in the numbers you arrive at in the co-ordintes below.

First Stage:
Question #1: How many bridges are there on the map between the last parking area and the river's confluence with the fraser? The bridges are marked in white.
Subtract 7 from the number of bridges and fill in your answer in spot #1 below.

Question #2: What kind of Zone is found on the edges of streams, rivers and lakes?
Count how many letters are in your one word answer and put this number in spot #2 below.

Co-ordintes for next stage:

Put answer to second question here:
52 09._____22 North
-------#2

Put answer to first Question here:
122 13._____44 West
--------#1

Second Stage: Follow your co-ordintes and you should arrive at a tree. From this tree you will need to proceed appoximately 86 feet East to find two bent trees.

Third stage: When you arrive at the bent trees you will see a large grey and white boulder about 86 feet east as the crow flys. Proceed to the Boulder

Fourth stage: From the Boulder the cache box is located approximately 64 feet South West of the Boulder.
