Easiest access is from the end of the paved road.

Now that Santa Maria Ranch has been cut into little pieces guess it is time to look over the area and this is a great spot to observe from. May want to pick up another cache, Dust Devil not to far from this one on your trip up. Construction is becoming an issue but hopefully we have years before it gets to crowded, but the pavement is there and I'm sure will be used at some point in time.
Ground clearance is a must and 4WD would not hurt although we didn’t use it going to the cache in our Trooper. There is also a possibility of getting into a few light branch ends rubbing your ride depending on your position on the road.
This is an ammo can with some little treasures in it, a log book, pencils, sharpener and a info sheet. As always keep an eye out for snakes and whatever else may be lurking around there.
