Geocache Description:

There are hours to be observed for getting the final to this cache.
Monday – Thursday 9:00am to 9:00pm and Friday _ Saturday 9:00an to 5:30pm

Congratulations to O2bretired on FTF!.

At the first waypoint you will find a memorial plaque for a lady that was a big supporter of education for the youth of Tillamook. Her efforts will be long remembered by the people of Tillamook. To get the cords for the next waypoint you will need to multiply the number of letters in her first name by the number of letters in her last name then add that number to both the latitude and longitude listed below. You will also need to take the year on the plaque and do the following formula, you will need this later to get the final and for math pourposes add .00 after the year, it will equal F.

(Year.00 – 1439.12 = F)

N 45° 27.356 W 123° 50.744

At this beautiful second waypoint you will find five books that you can read but cannot hold in your hands. On the pages of these books you will find the names or phrases that that you will need to get this cache. Once you have them all written down you will then need to figure out how many letters there are for each. In the case of names “and or &” don’t count.

For the first book you cannot read its pages but you can see its binding. This mighty book along with others creates a safe passage for our little ones to read and learn. For this book you will find a dedication from the very talented illustrator that painted the children’s mural. This will be the first name you seek and the sum of the letters will equal A.

For the next book you will find a little girl reading a book just where you would expect to find a little girl reading in a location such as this but something is a bit off with this one. She is so enthralled by this book that she seems to be frozen. On the pages of this book you will find a dedication, but to whom? This will be the second set of names you seek and the sum of the letters will equal B.

The third book on your tour is a simple one, an elderly lady in red looks on to a castle in the distance while holding an open book that reads… This is the third phrase you will need and the sum of the letters will equal C.

Very near the lady in red you will find another book. Now you will have to turn you head like an owl on this one unless you are good at reading upside down. On this books pages you will find another dedication slipped in by the artist. Get their names for this is the forth set and the sum of the letters will equal D.

And now for the final book in your search you will need to find the girl in horizontal stripes to find the last phrase. In the book she reads you will find what you seek “up they flew to…” It has three words and something that comes in handy while reading and the sum of the letters will equal E.

Now its time for some more math.

(A + B + C + D + E = G)

(F + G Equals a Dewey of a number for the cache you seek)

A big thanks to the folks at this location for helping to put this cache together. All waypoints for this cache are being used with full permission so don’t worry to much about prying eyes until you get to the final then watch out for muggles.

We enjoy reading everyones logs when they find our cache hides and appreciate when they say more than TNLN or THX.

Have fun and happy caching!
