Boundary Issues #3 - Learning to Fly
Sometimes when we are geocaching we cross the invisible lines that artificially define and divide our world. This is the third of a series of Geocaches dedicated to these kinds of Boundaries.
Here you will have a bit longer of a hike than previous Boundary Issues caches. It may even help to bring a bike along if you have one, because the parking is 1.1 miles away. No need to give you parking coordinates, though, because you'll only be able to get so close anyway before you have to park and start walking.
Once you reach the general area, you'll start to notice the signs "No Entry Jan 2 to June 30", and the rest of the information on those signs will help you make sense of the title of this boundary. The cache is placed outside of this boundary, so it should be accessible year round, but please be aware that this is NC Gamelands and as such it is used for hunting during bird and deer seasons. Use the normal precautions (orange vest and/or hat, cache only on Sundays, etc.) when searching for this in one of the many hunting seasons.
