Geocache Description:

Located in Azalea Park in a residential area of town. Back in the 70's this was a "happening place". Besides a nice park full of trees and azaleas, there was also a softball field here.

Many a night found a large gathering of locals there enjoying the church softball league games, meeting with friends and checking out the girls. That was a time when my generation was young and hadn't a care in the world.

Since then the town has built a rather large sports complex and the softball field here has been abandoned. The park remains though and it is a good place to bring the family as there are picnic tables, swings, and playground equipment there.

The cache is a one gallon bucket filled with various types of swag. I'v geared it toward the little ones with glow sticks and glow bracelets and hotwheel cars. There is also some grownup swag included. I've also included a camera so smile big and take a pic of yourself and family. FTF gets an FTF pin and small bison tube. This park is open from 7:00am till sunset.
