Agramone: Unfortunately there has been no response from the owner regarding this cache, and sadly I am forced to archive it at this time. If at some point in the near future the cache is determined to still be present or is replaced, please e-mail me via the link on my profile page. Geocache Description:

Parking is in the pullout area off the highway just N of MP 329, at the Trail Gulch Trailhead sign. Cache is in med size prescription bottle, only log and pencil fit.

This is where the trail that was used on August 31, 1805 by the Lewis & Clark Expedition that took off at what is now known as Tower Creek came out at. They left their camp which was about 4 miles up Tower Creek in the morning, and came out at Trail Gulch around 3 in the afternoon and proceeded North up to the area that is now known as Hull Creek and there camped.

“Proceeded over rocky hillsides where our horses were in perpetual danger of slipping to their destruction, and up and down steep hills where several horses fell......Captain Clark September 1, 1805”
