While anime had entered other markets beyond Japan in the 1960s, it’s growth as a major cultural export increase dramatically during its market expansion in the 1980s and 1990s. Today, the anime market for the United States alone is "worth approximately $4.35 billion”, according to the Japan External Trade Organization. To cash in on this ever expanding market place, Americanime Corporation was formed in 1987 to meet the needs of anime fans in the West. Twenty years later, as part of a global market domination scheme, Americanime Corporation and Japanime Corporation have joined forces to control the entire anime market from East to West.

Cottoned-mouthed and hung over, Chad Worthington slowly began to come to; only to find himself still in the Dragon Boat Restaurant from the night before. To celebrate their recent merger, employees from the Japanime Company and those of the Americanime Company went out to the Dragon Boat Restaurant for dinner and drinks.

Chad Worthington, an Americanime Company employee, has never been well liked by his co-workers. He is an amazingly talented anime artist. A true company man, one who is willing to sacrifice all he has for the greater good of the organization. He usually acts with the best of intentions. But most of the time he carries out those intentions in ways that other people would regard as arrogant or smug. Last night was no exception. Chad’s flair for annoyance was particularly well-honed that evening. He carried on at length about the technical superiority of his anime abilities to those around him. The evening as well as the temperament of individuals grew into the wee hours of the morning. Chad was finally quieted by the emptying of his Saki bottle. Passed out, Chad’s co-workers began to ponder his fate. They mulled over several ideas; finally settling on a brilliant plan of revenge.

To test Chad’s “superior” intellect, they devised an Eastern Culture inspired challenge for him. Solving it will lead him back to his hotel and his first day of work under the newly structured company. You are the bleary-eyed Chad Worthington, who must pay last night's bar tab and decipher the clues found on the plates in front of you. Only then will you be able to find your way back to your hotel. You can click on areas within the picture below to make them larger. Hopefully you won’t be late on your first day of work. Fill in the missing numbers on the following cache coordinates:
