"The Wolves Den" Traditional Cache

An ammo can hidden in the forest. Located not too far from some other caches hidden on the Castile youth Center property. Please do not do this cache at night.

Another cache hide at the vast forest behind the Castile Youth Center. This woods was logged off a few years ago and the money from the timber sale was used to build the present youth center building. This was an 85 acre farm owned by the Chamberlain family, sometime back in the 40's the owners decided to donate all their property to the Village of Castile to be used as a camping and recreational area and the house was used as a hostel for travelers passing through the area. Eventually the girl and boy scout organizations began to use, and currently still use this property for their activities. Parking is available at the youth center and there is a very nice path that leads to the creek, across a small bridge and up into the forest where this cache is hidden. This is basically an old school type of hide. I placed it here because I loved the open areas of the forest that I walked through to get here. In the immediate cache area there are some berry bushes so I don't recommend wearing shorts when you seek this cache. Good Luck!
