Karoo Peaks 1 Traditional Cache
HalweJakkals: It is with a sad heart that I archive this listing. Upon my last maintainence trip I found that the entire cache (case, cover and contents) have been stolen. Some pages from one of the items were found in the area and a search for more items are underway. The cache had to have been stolen as there are no signs of the case or the cover which would have been left had it been an animal.

Offers an unblocked view of the town of Worcester. Lots of fresh air and a brisk upslopong hike!
Hey guys and girls! This is the first of three caches that'll eventually grace three of the higher peaks in the
Karoo National Botanical Garden. The view is nice and with flowers blooming in the Spring and Summer even the parking area looks nice. Park at the designated parking. There's a
restourant there (Mon-Fri 0800-1700), public toilets and if you look around you'll find plenty of taps or fountains
for water.The Cache is a large size black plastic box wrapped in green plastic bags. To
get there, you have various options.

THERE HAVE BEEN REPORTS OF BEES (thanks C&C) IN THE AREA.
PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS WHEN STICKING YOUR HEAD INTO ANY OF THE CAVES IN THE AREA. IF YOU SPOT A BEE HIVE, DO NOT PROD IT WITH A STICK OR THROW STONES AT IT! THEY USUALLY DON'T REQUIRE THAT MUCH EFFORT TO BE MADE ANGRY AND WILL ATTACK IF THEY THINK YOU A THREAT. BE CAREFULL! I HAVE BEEN TO THE LOCATION NUMEROUS TIMES (I'm alergic to bees) AND HAVE NOT EVEN ONCE SEEN A BEE, BUT BE ALERT AND CAREFULL. Have Fun!
Geocaching classic: Find your own way to the posted co-ords.
Geocaching scenic: Start by finding the Shale Trail Cache, then continue along the trail as it twists and turns around and over all of the peaks. The cache is on the last peak.
Geocaching Medium: Start by making your way to:
(S 33'36.925 E 019'27.502) and then go straight towards the cache. This is recommended as the best way up.
Geocaching Hard: Start by making your way to:
(S 33'36.882 E 019'27.322) and then go straight towards the cache. Notice the, please don't steal flowers, sign. This route requires plenty of bundu bashing.
