This is one of my favorite view locations in Wendover. It is quite high up on the mountains north of town and will require a high clearance 4x4 or off road vehicle to drive to the cache site. You could walk from the pavement, but I would not recommend it. The cache is hidden at 4825 ft and is on the edge of a plateau that is called Table Top by the local explorers. Please use caution in the area, and be prepared, you are in the mountains!
The cache is a medium sized ammo box hidden in what was an obvious spot to me to hide a cache. Please hide the cache well, as the local kids use this area as a play ground at times. The original cache contents are:

This would have been a shore line of Lake Bonneville some years back and the sharp jagged rocks in the area including the ones surrounding the cache are actually coral. As you look to the south, you can see the massive evaporation ponds of the Intrepid pot ash mine and the southern salt flats. I believe you can see enough of the horizon to see the curvature of the earth, it is only one of a few locations you can see this.
There is a flat spot about 1/4 mile away from the cache(N40°44.831 W114°02.863) that is a great place to park the 4x4 and walk the rest of the way. You should walk up the trail part way first to see what you are in for, because it is hard to back up while going down this trail around the curve (tried it, not fun;).
As this is my first cache I hope you enjoy getting up here, and I hope you enjoy the view as much as I do.
