Sparrowhawk: Time to button this one up. :)

Thanks everyone. I hope to sleep in Sacramento tonite. I saw a Walmart not far from the cache in a northwest direction, so that is where I will be. If you are inclined to visit, I will be posting to my blog (pinkribbonroad.blogspot.com) from some random wifi cafe in Citrus Heights after I visit the cache. Watch that space!

Hopefully I will arrive safely in Sacramento, visit the cache, find a nice wi-fi cafe nearby, where I get to post on my blog that I have arrived safely.

If it all works out, I'll post a description of my old motorhome on the blog, then invite whoever feels like dropping by to visit me at Walmart on short notice... not likely but worth at least a shot.

Purpose of event cache has changed... Sparrowhawk cannot attend as originally planned, so she shall be there in spirit and thanks the Sacramento cachers for their kind thoughts. Sacramento geocachers are cool people, and now the cache owner knows it too! :)

ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION:

Got a travel bug that wants to travel to Las Vegas? Or get TBs from the Pacific NW? I am planning a move from Portland, OR to Las Vegas. I want to meet geocachers, exchange TBs I got in Portland, and make sure your TB can grab some serious mileage. The event is on Tuesday evening September 25 at 6:30 PM.

I (Sparrowhawk) am moving away from Portland to Vegas to live in a beautiful house where I can recover from breast cancer surgery (already done) and face chemo (upcoming... yuk!) with a supportive caretaker who lives there.

This event cache is part of a series of event caches along my route to Las Vegas. I plan to take at least 4-5 days to get there, with different event caches scheduled at various cities and towns along the route to collect travel bugs, see the best "wow, didn't know THIS was here!" types of caches and say hello to fellow cachers.

Here is my plan so far. I want to establish event caches at each stop along the way, one day per stop. I intend to exchange TBs with cachers at each of these locations:

* Portland (GC15K87) to Grant's Pass, OR
* Grants Pass (GC15TNX) to Sacramento, CA (Here)
* Sacramento, CA to Reno, NV (GC160VP)
* Reno, NV to Las Vegas NV

Sounds like a plan? I hope so. :)

When you get there, look for the woman wearing the black sequin cap with large gold stars on it. Ya can't miss me wearing THAT hat. :)
