swampy & tweety: Location of cache is no longer accessible. Thanks to "Bajachase" and "Duckm" for taking the time and effort to find our cache. I really enjoyed placing this cache. I just wished more people could have had a chance to find it. To those of you who are still looking for a challenge, I plan to have a new one out by spring.

Geocache Description:

THERE IS NO CACHE AT THE LISTED COORDINATES,

but it is a good place to start. The listed coordinates will take you to a public boat launch. This is a cache for those who want more than a "Park and Grab".
You will need a canoe, kayak, or other small boat to find this cache. The smaller the better.
You will also need a:
compass
flashlight
and don't forget the life jackets

So strap your canoe or kayak to the top of your car and come explore SWAMPY'S PLAYLAND.
Take a 3 mile round trip boat ride through the lakes and swamps of Valpo. Come see nature up close and personal.

There are 4 stages to this cache. You can reach them all by boat, with one road crossing near the 2nd stage. Between the 2nd and the 3rd stage is a waterway which gets choked full of lily pads in the summer. I have made it thru there with a push-pole, but it is very hard going. Also the beavers are trying to close it off. So if you choose to, you can go back to the original starting point and drive to the additional way point to continue your journey.

A few things to know before attempting to find this cache.
#1 You will probably get at least one or all of the following- wet, cut, bit, scratched, stung, and clawed.
#2 Most of the snakes around here are non-poisionous.
#3 Even in the coldest winter, the ice over the swamp doesn't freeze solid.
#4 Be very careful where you stick your hands. Look before you reach.
#5 Last but most important, Beavers Rarely Attack In Low Light Environments.
