After Trelane archived the original mtbCACHE, I asked him if I could put a cache in the area. He agreed, and so here it is!!
More or less in the same vicinity as the original, mtbCACHE_II will start off by stretching your legs with a 1.5 km walk from either parking lot.
Head towards the mountain bike trail east of Long Lake. Somewhere near the waypoint below, head off the trail and into the bush. The last 160 meters are off trail. I got to the cache site through mostly open forest.
There is lots of thick bush and swamp areas in the surrounding areas. Waterproof boots, pants and long sleeves would probably be a good idea!
And from the original cache listing: GPSrFailure? No problem; a heading due west (270°) will get you out to a trail from anywhere in the cache vicinity. From there stay on the trails and maintain a south (180°) or southwest (225°) heading. Worst case, this park is framed by major roads; a straight line in any direction will get you out.
