Geocache Description:

This is a fun canyon to clamber around in, and strangely enough, full of car parts -- hence the name! Don't wear your good clothes -- you will get dirty!

If you follow the directions, you will be able to avoid cryptobiotic soil.

To get to this canyon, start at the intersection of Spanish Valley Drive and Sunny Acres. You will see a fence that gives you access to a dirt road. You can park here and start walking; it will take 15-25 minutes. If you drive up the road it will cut the distance in half, but there isn't much parking on the side of the road. A regular car MIGHT make it.

At N 38* 30.211 W 109* 27.073, leave the road and go under a barbed wire fence, near a big white sign about OHV use. There are several of these signs, so you need to find the correct one! Look down and to your left. There is a horse trail, which is more obvious on some days than others. Follow the horse trail down and to the left. If it seems like you have lost the trail, look around! Eventually the trail will take you down to a wash at the bottom of the canyon. PLEASE follow the trail until the wash. It is not the most direct route, but it will keep you off the crypto.

Once you get to the wash, turn to the left and follow it back into the canyon. Your GPS may bounce, but we got a good reading with 30ft accuracy.
