Part 2 of a 7 part series - Each highlighting one of the 7 Leave No Trace Principles.

If you look around you may see evidence of people violating guideline 2, either here or downstream.

As we consider our Canoe ride down the Willimantic River. (real or imagined), In part 1 I mentioned that parts of this ride may be too exciting for some folks. Well I rest my case.

If we wanted to do a campout along our ride this little parking spot would work. Very Durable and not much damage we could do. I prefer a more natural setting but that would take some more planning and investigation.

My Brother and I both got wet here on our first trip down the river but we had a dry change and carried on. We also learned to stay low in a canoe in rough water.
