trailbirds: Well after losing two caches and many Travel bugs at this location, we have decided to archive this cache. Perhaps in the future we can create a new one of smaller size that you all can enjoy! Sorry to give up but its in our best interest at this time.

Sunny Sunshine’s Sunland Cache

This is a cache dedicated to my faithful geocaching partner. Though not old by length of years, she’s often wise beyond expectation and truly one persistent geocacher. The cache location, which is within the border of Sunland Park was picked with her in mind. “Sunny” as her nickname suggests, brings me joy and a smile, and to others who are fortunate enough to know her. Her quiet demeanor sometimes hides a heart that is bigger than the newly risen full moon on a lonely night! So “Sunny” this cache is for you!

No attempt was made to make this a difficult find, but rather hidden in a spot that was easily accessible. Though still somewhat close to a few homes this location was selected with the hope of minimizing muggle problems. Also we wanted to make it convenient, fun and safe. This is a nice park with a nearby stream filled with fish, and the usual ball fields, tennis and basketball courts.

It is highly recommended that searchers park in the numerous designated areas rather than on the side of the road. It is a busy road at times, so put safety first! Please be discreet while searching, and when placing the cache back be aware of muggles driving by and when replaced check to see if it is adequately hidden.

This cache is starting out with some newly released travel bugs, two neat Geocoins and some conventional, but “Sunny Like” swag! If you pick up a travel bug we’re hoping that you can replace it with another. If not that’s ok! Have fun and may the sun shine favorably on you and all of your caching activities!
