One of a series of four caches in Pages Woods, part of the Thames Chase Community Forest.
We are in Pages Wood near Upminster. Pages Wood is part of the Thames Chase Community Forest. The area provides hard surfaced / accessible path to most areas and is adjacent to Harold Wood Park.
The area is popular with local dog walkers – judging by the evidence around the car park (N51 34.886 E 00 15.143) a number of whom seem unfamiliar with what you are supposed to do with doggies by products these days. An info leaflet from the Thames Chase web site covering this and adjacent bits of green can be found here.
In the Mount Pleasantarea of the woods. A small 0.45l clip lock type box is what you’re looking for. Please note that there is *no* safe parking on the A127 Southend Road which runs near the cache. Park as recommended above.
Once you’ve found it: *** make sure it goes back where you found it. This is so it will be there for those who come after you and not found by those who shouldn't - be careful of the sightlines ***
Fortunately, I don’t need to give the security camera warning here, but be aware of muggles who may sneak up on you!
Generally very quiet. The parking area is open as you would expect, the gates are locked around dusk, but the forest itself is open all hours.
