Sarah's 1st Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Cache-tech: I have been looking at caches in the area that have been temporarily disabled for a while now and it looks like your cache has been under the weather for some time. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future. If you do not plan on replacing/repairing your cache, please CITO any remains returning the site to the original state before you placed your cache.

Thanks for your understanding,
Cache-tech

Geocache Description:

Located 30 to 40 meters just off an easy trail around Octagon Pond in Paradise. Rated 1.5 terrain only because it is off the main trail just a bit. It's an easy 1.5. Winter accessible.

The cache is a peanut butter jar and placed off the ground. It was placed using an Etrex Legend HCX with the point averaged for 60 readings. I would be interested in any comments on the accuracy of the coordinates, and what model GPS you used during your hunt.

Prior to placement the cache was filled by my 3-year old daughter Sarah. Along with the stuffed turtle, ball, and other knick knacks that she put in it, I put in a calculator, clip on bookreading light, microsd card adapter (not the card, just the adapter so it can be read in an SD card reader), logbook and some other stuff. I forgot to put in a pencil, but I did have a pen in the car so I added that to the cache. If anyone reads this before looking for the cache, it would be greatly appreciated if you could replace the pen with a pencil. A full length pencil won't fit. 3/4 or less would be fine. I hope you enjoy the cache, and I look forward to reading your comments. It is our first hide, and quite an exciting moment for Sarah!
