AGT-McKean-Black Water Cache Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

PEGASIS: We checked on the cache and searched for quite a while but couldn't find it. It looked as if the area had been flooded and there were downed trees all over too. Guess it is time to archive the cache. Thanks to all the cachers who visited. We enjoyed reading all the nice comments and seeing all the great pictures.

At one time years ago the Kinzua Creek was called Blackwater because industry and oil drilling polluted the creek and made it uninhabitable for fish and other aquatic animals. Over the years an effort was made to clean up this area and now the stream is stocked with trout and is a favorite fishing spot for many fishermen. The headwaters of the Kinzua creek run through the Kinzua Bridge State Park and end up at the Kinzua Reservoir near Red Bridge.

Wear orange during hunting season!
