Geocache Description:

This location is so wonderful it deserves another cache especially by the magnificent lower falls. The location is fairly obvious - the trick is getting it out and back unobserved! A great all access location with a short walk from the car park along a level path suitable for wheelchairs and buggies although it is up a slight incline.

This cache is an anniversary present to my very wonderful wife who fell in love with this place when I first brought her here in 1998. As for me, this place has been part of me since my childhood and we return here as often as we can.

If I could write words
Like leaves on an autumn forest floor,
What a bonfire my letters would make.
If I could speak words of water,
You would drown when I said
"I love you."

Spike Milligan

The cache itself is a 2L lunchbox with a clip on lid - we've tried to stock it with decent items worth about a £1 each and it would be nice if this was maintained with the swops. It starts off with some rechargeable batteries, a personal radio, wind up torch amongst other things. As a first to find reward there is also a photocopy of a great book from the early 1980s called 'Walks around Abergynolwyn' which has been out of print for most of the past two decades and has other great walks nearby.

Finding it won't be hard, but getting it out and back without being spotted by muggles will be the real challenge. Recommend arriving by the wonderful Talyllyn railway and for the very energetic and it can be linked with 4 or 5 caches in a walk over Tarren Hendre.

Please note there is now a pay and display car park in front of the Dolgoch Hotel which is the local parking for this cache about 300m away.

EXTRA: When restocking this cache in April 2010, I left a disposable camera. Please take a shot of anything you like when you find the cache but if you're struggling I suggest the falls!
