LMB41: After more than ten years in service under two owners, this cache is being taken out of circulation. I am no longer resident in New Brunswick and cannot maintain it. It is an excellent site so I'm hoping that a local person would place one or more new caches in this area. The physical cache has been retrieved.

Geocache Description:

A historic piece of Marysville. A lot of people have seen the Cotton Mill but did you know about the dam?? Go here to see it.

I believe that this was used as a water supply for the old Cotton Mill down the road. If you look at the base you can see 2 large water pipes heading that way. It has become a natural habitat for ducks, frogs, and other aquatic life.
You can approach through the old Quarry off River St. or from the Community Church at the end of Downing St.
The trailhead starts at N 45 59.192 W 066 34.809.
Do not use the road on the north side of the dam. This is private property.
Enjoy the view from shore as this is an old dam.
UPDATE: The Government and the City have decided to tear this dam down. Get a look at it now before it's gone!
