A "John Masser Memorial" Geocache . . .
The late Banksia777 re-discovered 'The Three Brothers' in Medlow Bath, NSW -- a very special location in the heart of the Blue Mountains -- and brought it to our attention with this cache placement.
Reaching the picturesque GZ, and the new location of the cache, requires a short 1.2 kilometre walk from where you can park -- unless you have a 4WD or AWD that will take you further down the fire trail to the final turn-off.
Most of the walk is along a fire trail, but the last 200 metres is a roughish track that will take you to some rock formations known as the ‘3 Brothers’ -- not as spectacular as the '3 Sisters' but still well worth a visit.
There is a obvious track to the new location near the rock formation, so there's no need to bush bash.
Please take care around the GZ as there are unfenced cliffs all around! And please make sure to replace the cache as you found it!
(Note that in his final year of geocaching, Banksia777 signficantly changed the location of GZ to make the retrieval less dangerous. Nevertheless, great care of geo-kids is often required in many places in the Blue Mountains.)
