Geocache Description:

Hidden near one of the twin summits of Florida Peak.



The Florida Mountains are easily visible as a craggy massif of rock just east of Deming, New Mexico. They tower ~3000 vertical feet above the surrounding terrain and offer some wonderful chance for off-trail exploration in a rugged area. The area that sees the most traffic in the Florida range is most likely Florida Peak. If memory serves me correctly about 25 people have signed the summit log on the "easier" to get to twin summit in the last 10 yrs. Enjoy the hiking and stay away from the stinging nettles!
