c.j.b: I was waiting for the cigarette smell to leave the cache items so I wouldn't have to chuck them, but killing the cache and dropping the items into others when they come good will do.

A replacement for a Geocaching Australia cache of mine that had been flooded out almost two years ago. Luckily for everyone, the toy microphone that had been in the cache had to be retired, so recording your singing voice is no longer a cache finding requirement. :-)
The cache /is/ hidden on private property-- however it is on a common access road to a Retirement Village, is far enough away not to disturb anyone, and I discussed the hiding of the cache with a few of the curious residents, who said it wouldn't be a problem for them. Note however you do not need to enter the actual Retirement Village area, and if arriving by car, it would be best to park it on Turrama Street, rather than stopping your car in a one-way lane.
To avoid further water damage, please return the cache to the 'sideways' location where it is sheltered from the rain and stormwater! The cache also has a history of being muggled, so I'd suggestion not leaving anything 'valuable' (GeoCoins and other travellers) behind, sorry.
