A short, civilized hike up the interpretive trail at the Willow river Rest Stop.
My granddaughter's fifth grade class went on a field trip here and i went along as a helper. So we thought while out here we should hide a cache. Three fifth grade girls picked the spot. Park at the rest stop and walk up where the big Willow River interpretive Trail sign is. The first part of the hike is a climb; however the trail is stepped and well maintained. All along are signs explaining about the forest and forestry. It is a pretty walk and I think you should enjoy it.
The cache is hidden right by the trail, so there is no need to step off the trail. It is an easy find. Please be sure to re-cover it well with bark and such.
At the time of hiding there cache contained one geo-coin, some magnets, some key tags, and other dollar store stuff.
After you find the cache it is quickest to return the way you came. You can also keep walking the loop. When back at the rest stop you may wish to view the memorial to the young men who drowned in the Willow River back in 1974.
