Warning! The exact location of this cache is a locus of
evil. And, since many people I know consider me to be evil, I
guess I should know. (I used to play Halo using the moniker
"Evil Betty".)
The cache, a 30 caliber ammo can, is close to the posted
coordinates. Think about the name of the cache to see if you
can deduce the actual coordinates.
You can check to see if you answer is evil enough on Geochecker.com.
You will need to do a fair amount of bushwhacking to get to this
one. There are some game trails that will take you in to the
general area, but the underbrush and thorn bushes can get pretty
dense. You need to be patient and watch carefully for the
path. Even the game trails are hard to follow the further in
you go. The area can also get quite wet and muddy.
As Blues Man noted, you can't approach from due north without
crossing private property. Forest Preserve parking is available to
the south with the entrance on Central Road.
There are many other evil locations that are suitable for a
cache hide, so I hope to expand this series soon. If there
are any other evil cache hiders who wish to help extend this
series, please feel free. I suggest you keep the same naming
convention, and try to keep the cache within a few feet of the
locus of evil. If you can't place a suitable cache right on
the locus, then pass that location up and move on to another.
After all, there are many possibilities out there.
