Geocache Description:

On the Trent Valley Way

Sandy Shore is located between Barton Ferry and Thrumpton Ferry on one of the many gravel pits in the area. On a weekday you can see the gravel barges pass this location. Carrying the gravel from the new pit on Thrumpton Field next to Cranflete Lock to Beeston for processing .See the old pictures at Barton Ferry and Thrumpton Ferry and take a picture at waypoint provided upload to compare to the pictures of the past.

The cache is a 670ml Tupperware type container in a camouflage bag. It contains a logbook and pencil, first to find card, a torch that requires no batteries, a small light ,milko key ring, compass/bike bell.
