SUNSET ROCKS Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Dolly Duo: I'm going to archive this one. Cache disappeared as a result of Superstorm Sandy last autumn and I have yet to return to the site. If nobody places a cache in the area in the near future I will reclaim it with a new cache. The location is too pretty to pass up.

Geocache Description:

Cache is beyond the end of the Shoreline Public Right Of Way (SPROW) located at the end of Surf Drive. From April thru October you might see some muggles on beach area. THIS IS NOT A WALK ON THE BEACH!!

Cache is a 6X8 clear plastic sealable container which initially contains: logbook & pencils, 2006 South Dakota Quarter, key chain, oak leaf foam stamp, wood gingerbread man & teddy bear, plastic dinosaur, turtle & whale. The cache has plenty of room for TBs, etc., which we haven't gotten into yet. The SPROW path is clear with only a little low poison ivy on the right side. Currently the Town of Bristol is maintaining the path to its full width. Beyond the end of the SPROW path, the route will be very difficult. Be sure to pause once in a while, look up from the fascinating array of rocks and enjoy the view of Upper Narragansett Bay, Warren River, Barrington shore and summer boat traffic.
