Lane County park day use area. You'll need to pay a small fee if you want to hang around awhile. Thomson's swinging bridge was built around 1900 with cedar planks. Outdoors men would cross the bridge to stay at the Thompson's Lodge on the other side. The Lodge burned down in 1954. The bridge still spans the river but is no longer used.
