Geocache Description:

Located right at the edge of the development of the huge new mall to the north, this cache is a decon dcontainer that's not camouflaged in any way. Bring a pen and be prepared to get a bit dirty. I suggest doing this cache with a partner.

Suggested parking is at the historical marker and trail head in the business park north of Exchange Pkwy. You'll walk across both the historic dam, built in 1887, and a trestle with some interesting (and clean) graffitti. There's some cool remains of some of the railroad buildings on the west side of the dam near the tracks as well. Bushwacking directly from the east will be a tough, thorny creek crossing and you'll miss the historic stuff as well as two other caches. Stop and smell the roses, as they say.

Useless trivia - the cache container was formerly the first stage of my old Planetfall cache. It then spent several months in the trunk of Scrudder's car, then passed to Langly at an event, then finally back to me. All in all this decon container has been out in the wild for almost 5 years, as of this writing.

Cut and paste logs will be deleted without notice.
