Zircon Rocks! Traditional Cache
ButterflyDiver: Went to replace this one & found that the thorny vines had grown up much thicker around this area. Then I spotted a SKUNK near the cache site! So I high tailed it out of there without replacing it.
Maybe someone else can place another cache in these woods that is closer to the road or trail.

Lock-N-Lock container with quartz crystals & a few other rocks.
We are rockhounds! We have many rocks & minerals inside our house & in our backyard. And, we live in a subdivision called Diamond Pointe with street names such as Emerald Drive, Topaz Lane, Diamond Pointe Drive, Turquoise Drive, and Zircon Drive.
So, we need to share some of our rockhounding finds! A Lock-N-Lock container with several rock specimens has been placed in a small wooded area in Maumelle just off a paved trail. Close parking is along Zircon beside the drainage ditch & just south of the cache.
Be sure to use bug spray if you go during warm weather. The mosquitoes were swarming when we hid the cache. And, watch for wildlife, especially if you go early or late in the day. Deer have been spotted in this area. And, we discovered a turtle that was just a few feet from the cache as we were leaving.
If you are also a rockhound, you can join us at meetings and on field trips with our local rock club: www.centralarrockhound.org. We have an annual gem & mineral show with free admission at the Jacksonville, AR Community Center every October.
Zircon Rocks! is dedicated to the memory of another rockhound: markrocks916!
